SANTA MONICA, CA – December 07, 2010 – Beginning today, gamers will be rocking their way into the holiday season 90s-style thanks to a quintet of new downloadable tracks for Activision Publishing, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero®: Warriors of Rock and the Guitar Hero® music library. Featuring a variety of hit tracks from some of the decades biggest artists such as The Goo Goo Dolls’ first smash hit “Name” from A Boy Named Goo and Marcy Playground’s then record-breaking Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart classic “Sex & Candy,” the 90s Rock Track Pack is sure to have players nostalgic for the days of beepers, flannel, slap bracelets and dial-up internet. The 90s Rock Track Pack contains the following songs:

* The Goo Goo Dolls – “Name”
* Marcy Playground – “Sex And Candy”
* Matchbox Twenty – “Real World”
* R.E.M. – “What's The Frequency, Kenneth?”
* Sponge – “Plowed”

The 90s Rock Track Pack will be available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 760 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation®Store for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system for $9.49 and for Wii™ for 950 Wii Points™. All songs in the 90s Rock Track Pack will also be released as downloadable singles for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 160 Microsoft Points, PlayStation 3 system for $1.99 and Wii for 200 Wii Points each. Since probably no one else here will say it, I will: I don't think the GH DLC has been bad choices recently, especially as an antithesis to Rock Band's current Classic Rock focus.

Now we can all go lol 50 cent pack discount.

A couple of bands I've been waiting to see in either series (Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20).

I wonder what direction RB will head when they get off the classic rock kick.

Very good week for GH, but the little 14 year olds will probably cry about how the songs are easy and boring. :/

I don’t care for any of these, since I don’t know them and they probably will suck….

I don’t see Coheed and Cambria, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Alice In Chains, System of a Down, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Bloc Party, Saosin, Muse and Led Zeppelin in the pack. Therefor, making this setlist mentioned above completely uninteresting for me. (I could have said RUSH in there too but we had a pack a few weeks ago with RUSH in it so I am satisfied with that for a while.)

Activision, please release actual bands…

Me too.

In fact, I wanted a L80ETC pack. I don't see why they didn't seeing as what day it is.

Nice, if LEO was the ruler of the world, the world would suck.
At least, it would suck for us indie band lovers.

LEO brings up a good point, how come there isn't any Coheed and Cambria, Bloc Party, Saosin or Led Zeppelin in the pack? Those are the best bands from the 90s and none of them are in the 09's Pack setlist!

Well personally i don't know many songs from 1909. But Coheed and cambria is one of my favorite bands ever. So more of them is always welcome.
