Hi everybody,

I created a tool that uses the export feature to create a multi-column "Karaoke List" PDF of the songs in your Rock Band collection:

http://www.tdavis.org/rockband/

I originally made this for MyRockBandSongs.com, but non_zero made some code changes so that I could handle users of this site as well (thanks!)

non_zero, if you'd like to create a link directly to this tool for users, you can do so with:

http://www.tdavis.org/rockband/?dlc_username=[username]

I hope somebody finds this useful. Please consider this the "official" support and feature request thread for DLCQuickPlay.com users.

Update April 22nd
=================

* You can now choose the console (Xbox/PS3/Wii) and game (RB/GH).

Update May 19th
===============

* You can now chose to include a cover page with your latest song additions (enabled by default).

Update August 30th
==================

* You can now chose to group songs by genre. The "song grouping" option that already existed will further divide songs within genres.

Update November 29th
====================

* By risser's suggestion, you can now chose to group songs by decade. The "song grouping" option has been renamed to "top grouping", and the genre grouping option moved there.

Great work on this!

Few suggestions:

Separation of RB and GH songs
RB3 compatibility
WoR Compatibility
Maybe have the latest songs released bolded or in a different color scheme.

Also random stuff seems to be bolded. Any reason for that?

Very Nice!

This will complement my own Personalized excel Booklet I keep undated quite nicely, as a table of contents.

Thx!

I think non_zero is giving me a dump of every song the user has, regardless of source. I only own Rock Band games and DLC, so I didn't think to check to see what happens if you have Guitar Hero stuff. I added some Guitar Hero games on the Account page, then chose some GH DLC in Songs -> My DLC, but I still only got Rock Band stuff in the data non_zero provides me. non_zero will have to weigh in here.

I don't know what you mean by this.

As mentioned in the instructions, bolded items are songs that you've added to your collection within the number of "new" days you have specified.

I think toymachine wants the ability to make a list of Rock Band songs, or Guitar Hero songs, depending on an option they select. And by RB3 compatibility and WoR compatibility he means he wants the option to exclude DLC songs that aren't playable in RB3 or GH Warriors of Rock.

Okay. As for the problem I described, could you please provide some input on that?

In addition, if I go to the Export page and change the Game dropdown to "Guitar Hero", the form auto-submits, and when the next page loads, it has reverted back to "Rock Band".

In the URL you provided me for getting the export, if I add "game=5:1", then I get an export with only the RB3 on-disc songs.

Nicely done!

The only input I have is for multi-console users. I generated a .pdf and it shows my Xbox DLC. I have quite a bit more DLC on PS3 but I don't see an option to generate my PS3 DLC specifically.

non_zero's sent me some information that I can use to allow for creating separate lists for Rock Band, for Guitar Hero, and for different consoles. I'll fiddle around with that soon.

I have to say being able to look at the giant list and see the new ones bolded is really useful, I get asked what's new all the time.

I thought Rock Band 3 was going to solve that with 'Date Acquired' but that turned out so half-assed it was actually a quarter-assed.

Oddly enough it works flawlessly on the PS3 version <_<

He's referring to the fact that it only divides it into two sections, which are the 20 most recent downloads and then everything else. It doesn't sort all songs by purchase date, like it should.

I'm glad other people find this toy useful.

non_zero: Noticed a small error in the database. The artist for "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" is listed as Stevie Nicks & Tom Petty, but the official Rock Band artist is just "Stevie Nicks". It was on her solo album, and he guested.

Well, it actually does that on the PS3 version (sorting all songs by purchase date). Odd how such a huge bug only happens on one of the games versions, and that it is the PS3 version that isn't the one with the bug.

That's weird. It doesn't seem like a bug, it just seems like a stupid design decision.

Yeah you would think that, but this says otherwise I guess.

This crap right here pisses me off the most of all of HMX's bad decisions with RB3.

Twenty new songs, then Alphabetical??? grrrr

Shitfuck HMX.... This is so damn useless, why'd you waste your time coding the shitty option.

I liked RB2 menu options better
