Urgh... the guitar chart in "Rebel Love Song" looks horrible. Forced strums everywhere.

Rush, win-win.

Volbeat, thats awesome.
But they should have made it to RBN instead, that way we would get proper bass pedal charting :).
Tsk... but yeah great pack none the less.

As much as I'd love to see an Elton John pack or some more Lynyrd Skynyrd (mostly The Ballad of Curtis Loew), the part of me that enjoys human suffering is personally hoping next week's DLC is one of those weeks where everyone goes 'Aw, what the hell, Harmonix.'

Also, it's been a while since I've mentioned leaked legacy Pro upgrades, four of them have since come out leaving:
Black Sabbath - War Pigs*
Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out
Iron Maiden - The Trooper
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Purple Haze
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Little Wing
Ramones - Rock n Roll High School
STP - Interstate Love Song
Tom Petty - Runnin Down a Dream
Weezer - Beverly Hills
Weezer - Buddy Holly

Clearly they're going to release all of these by the end of the year with new DLC releases that tie in with the artists. Clearly.

I have a sinking feeling it will be Nightwish next week. For better or worse.

I had that feeling for this week. Granted I've had this feeling about 20 times.

At least it would likely be from Imaginaerium, which, in my opinion, is much better than Dark Passion Play.

What I want them to do is UPDATE these charts with keys, harmonies, etc... Especially with thew Trooper.

I don't know if half of those songs have keys, and I don't think the Trooper even has harmonies.

Well, I mean, I hate the dumbass idea of paying EXTRA for a song you already paid for. >.>
Now, for Guitar/Bass pro, definitely pay a dollar extra. But for old songs that's been on the store since Rock Band 1? I'm sorry that my $400 isn't ENOUGH for you guys. For fuck's sake! >.>

You are aware that within the frameworks of downloadable content, there is no way for Harmonix to just "Update" a song right?

Oh, God... Then at least offer it to those who HAVE the song to download the non-pro upgrade for free using the leaderboards?

This is Microsoft and Sony were talking about. Do you honestly expect that they would allow Harmonix to release all that content for free? On top of that, how do they justify all the man hours put in to creating those pro guitar charts? Are you aware that it takes at least twice the time it takes to create a full legacy track to fully chart a pro guitar and pro bass upgrade? Giving away things like that for free just isn't financially viable or a smart business move.

I'm with you here, but I have to point out one thing, he stated he is ok with spending the extra dollar on Pro Guitar/Bass. Just doesn't want to pay two more dollars for Keys/Harmonies then the extra dollar for Pro Guitar/Bass.

Yah, lets not make any sense or try to understand why Harmonix does what they do. Lets all start ranting and raving about how terrible a company they are and how were all going to quit Rock Band forever because we hate them so much! That's a much more logical thing to do! :D

But the point is that its impossible for them to just update a track post-mordem. They have to make it an entire new song, which means they have to re-license it again, and thus pay the fees a second time. In order to justify that, they have to charge the full price for the track. Hell, who's to say that the labels aren't the ones forcing them to charge $2 per RB3 version?
