It's not that i don't understand the differences between the two. It more comes down to i really don't care. People who bought an old version of the song shouldn't have to pay more. Case closed end of story, put a fork in her shes done. The facts surrounding it are irrelevant to end result.

No, it's not. However, it depends upon Microsoft's systems to go back and update the pack, which I assume can be a pain in the ass.

The biggest issue with updating old tracks is that RB3 DLC doesn't work in RB1 or RB2. Going back and updating old tracks would essentially steal the songs away from those with the older games who wanted the songs. And since some of the songs, like "The Trooper", are in packs, it would be even more confusing. The entire pack would require its whole file to be updated due to that one song, which would then cause the pack to mix RB2 songs and RB3 songs, which would essentially be false advertising for the RB2 players who read the description and song list, purchase the pack, and then find out that they can't play one of the songs unless they own RB3.

Plus the re-licensing thing also comes into play.

But it would still be a new file which we would have to pay for again (which I have no problem with, seeing as Harmonix doesn't get the song again for free, too).

What he means is that Microsoft has the ability to replace the original file with something else (this is what they did with the Wait and Bleed audio sync error), which wouldn't require us to pay for it again, but would lead to all the other complications that he mentioned.

What is with the guitar charts this week? The end of the Spirit of Radio solo, Caravan solo, Rebel Love Song solo 1, are all charted stupidly.

And Caravan is incredible on bass.

I thought the charts for guitar were good this week.

I believe the intro to The Spirit of Radio is charted to guitar, but I can't confirm that since I didn't hear any of it
