Again, RBN cannot sustain some of the top-tier metal acts out there. Unlike some of the bands Dog and Riles want, most of the metal stuff we could want, the names of which elude me at the moment, probably have an audience.

Also, don't get down at never seeing alternative again. We got Incubus without any Light Grenades last year, so anything's possible.

Except for The Strokes. The mainstream only wanted two of their songs, and we have both of them (although one of them is a live track, I'll admit).

Okay, thinking it over, why do you guys want alternative so badly?

For the exact same reason other people want hair metal, and the same reason still other people want prog, and a different group wants southern rock

Only reason we've been so vocal about it is because it hasn't been represented in forever. This is very much like when there were so many requests for 80s hair metal and it went unappreciated for the longest time, except this time around there isn't much hope for that trend to turn back around

Here's the thing, sometimes we only get what we want when they actually release a new game, but there's almost zero DLC for those bands afterwards. I don't want to say it, but it really isn't fair, and I don't know what they're doing, but if they're really thinking, or saying to themselves that "it's RBN worthy" and doing not much or nothing at all to push those bands to the RBN then that's garbage plain and simple.

I do know that feel, and I am kind of sorry for that, but again, there's not no chance that we will ever get that, because some of the HMX DLC last year was more niche than you might think. Super Charger Heaven? Funk? Y'know.

Show me how much metal and classic rock was released by HMX last year compared to the one indie rock song by a really mediocre band.

It's bullshit.

There wasn't that much metal either, but alright.

Part of it also might be the excuse I was using for them a year ago, and that's the exclusion of keys with a lot of these bands. Not to say they don't exist, that would be stupid, but no prizes for guessing which time periods represent the best in keys better, part of why Bush is going to suck balls.

I still have a bit of hope. Radiohead is number 13 on that dashboard app thingy, so there's a chance, I guess. That's all I got now.

Bah, I wouldn't count on the Facebook app making a lick of difference for anything.

We didn't exactly get any Radiohead or Strokes then either.

In fact, 2009 was terrible because we didn't get anything. You were lucky to recognise half of the given artists in a week.

I've now made a list of every artist on RB3 with no DLC support, and would be likely for DLC in the future.

Amy Winehouse
The Beach Boys
Chicago
The Cure
Dire Straits
Echo and the Bunnymen
Flaming Lips
Golden Earring
INXS
Metric
Primus
Rammstein
Roxette
Warren Zevon
Whitesnake

I'll bet 5 bucks you'll never see Primus DLC for this game.

And RB2 was much worse, there's like 40 bands who never got DLC.

I dunno, RB2 seemed pretty good for that, sorting out the major players within the first 6 or so months.

But then I came to the game late so what the bleep do I know?
