That reminds me, I need to review Dookie. Man, the last time I said anything about that album, you told me I might choke on my dick in my sleep. Hahaha those were the days.
I pretty much say that to anyone who brings up Green Day.
Alright, I'll be that one guy.
STILL ONLY 3 SONGS A WEEK?
Either way, I hated that Santa Monica song, because I knew another song that mentioned Santa Monica.
Just googled it, it's by Theory Of A Deadman. I'm now upset with myself.
I'll pick up Good Charlotte for sure, and the Mastodons a maybe. 3 weeks in a row I'm not impressed. Haven't been this many bad weeks in a row since April 2011.
Finally some Everclear! Not sure why they didn't just give them a 3-pack with "Father of Mine" and "I Will Buy You a New Life"... probably all the Everclear we'd really need. Also getting Mastodon because it's Mastodon and they always seem to translate well... but screw that Good Charlotte song, it's easily one of their worst singles (not that they have very many good singles).

I'd prefer a three pack of "I Will Buy You a New Life", "Fire Maple Song", and "Rock Star".

QUOTES!
Riles: LEGO ISN'T A COLOR
GODDAMMIT TWA
Saxy Man: But wouldn't all the bronies living on one island be a good thing?
Okay week that could of been helluva a lot better without Good Charlotte bogging it down. If anything all three bands should of gotten their own three packs.
By the way, anyone who says Mastodon are sellouts is a moron. It's a good thing that The Hunter sounds nothing like any of their other albums. That just means the band isn't satisfied with treading old ground. I don't know why people are so afraid of this "mainstream" thing. So what if they are trying to sell more records? I for one am glad that they are selling more and more records because quite frankly they deserve it. In my opinion they are currently the only metal band worth getting excited for.
Would've preferred a "The Hunter" pack or even a full album, but I'll settle for "Curl Of The Burl", should be the most fun Mastodon song yet. "Santa Monica" was one of those "Oh that song!" moments, and the Good Charlotte pick was a bit surprising, I actually kinda like that song.
All DLC this week for me.

It's mostly because they're currently the only metal band period.
Not sure if serious.

Pretty obvious I'll be getting the Santa Monica track and the Pro upgrade! Score!! Awesome song, I don't care if it is simple, it's still fun to me, I'd of liked a 3 pack as well but one is better than none!
I'll get the Good Charlotte as well as it's an alright track.. but the Mastadon I'll pass on..
Also in regards to the... overly trumped issue people seem to have with Green Day and "American Idiot" and "21st Century" being some sort of.. sell-out deal.. I realize ahead of time it wont change any of those opinions but.. my take on it at least..
I throughly enjoyed the album.. bands evolve.. it's natural.. coming from the artist perspective.. you constantly search for new things.. ways to be original to express whatever form of creativity they have.. This was definitely the case with those two album.. much like the Beatles and their "White Album" When you compare it to their first albums how little of it sounds the same? How much of it is way way out there compared to those early days? Revolution 9 with Yoko making whatever noises those were anyone? Yet it is regarded as a great album and not a sell-out.
Both American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown as they've been referred to as Rock Opera's tell a story and carry that theme throughout which almost makes for one singular medley that shows a careful attention to the writing & arrangements going from start to finish. Doing the Full album achievements in Green Day: Rock Band for these with my cousins was by far one of the funniest moments we've had playing because the music draws you in... if... your not closed minded.. And really that's what you should let it do in the first place... not just be like... blah.. "Sellouts just because it isnt Dookie or just because they perform for large stadiums instead of some hole in the wall dive.. rabble rabble rabble.."
?Viva La Gloria?, Last of the American Girls, Peacemaker. Incredibly fun especially.. Are We The Waiting/St. Jimmy.. starts off slow but then ramps into overdrive.. Just awesome..
Just my opinion for what it's worth on the matter :)
