Hi folks. Just now seeing the messages about RB4. (I've changed the language on my site to tell people to contact me first, then post to the forums second, otherwise I'll never see these things in a timely manner. :-)

Bront asks if the Karaoke List tool will be updated for it, but SoulVexxer seems to be saying that it works fine. So is it working fine? I emailed non_zero to ask if anything changed in the data his exporter sends me.

I also updated the tool to have a simple font size/columns/color preview.

Apparently some posts have disappeared from this thread for some reason.

The problem mentioned in SilverSpg's message is fixed.

The $year thing was irrelevant to the problem, but it did expose two songs that don't have year information here on DLC Quickplay: Talking Heads "Burning Down The House" and Various Artists "Rock Band Network Megamix 01".

The "runtime limit reached" problem should be fixed.

"Is there any way to get it to break down over decades like it does for genres? My group would really like that. The kids could check out 21st century items and us geezers could check our faves from the 70s and 80s."

Sounds like a good idea to me, so I've added it. See the new "Top grouping" option. Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't know what's wrong with your Asus Transformer. I pop your username into the site, and it spits out a PDF without trouble. Try it on another computer.

I don't run FakePlasticRock.com, and didn't post anything there.

Nextgate, I tested and am seeing your RBN songs in your karaoke list.

The "group by genre" option has been implemented.

Note that non_zero will have to do a little normalizing of the genre information on his side. For instance, I'm seeing separate "Pop Rock", "Pop-Rock", and "Pop/Rock" genres; separate "Prog" and "Progressive" genres; and for some reason Rage Against The Machine's "Testify" is marked as being "Blues". ;-)

Let me know if you have any trouble with the feature.

* A group by Genre option

Yes, I want to do this.

(That is the reason I signed up for dlcquickplay.com instead of MyRockBandSongs.com because they store [pro] information)

To do this on MRBS you would create a custom print booklet with pro-whatever-instrument(s) selected under "Pull songs with these instruments", save it, then use that booklet's XML address.

Thanks for the report. There's been more traffic than usual since my site was featured on RockBandAide.com. I set a runtime limit on the script so that if something goes wrong it doesn't run out of control forever. I made sure there was no real problem, then kicked up the runtime limit a bit. Try it again and let me know if there's still trouble.

Recently, songs I've added to my collection don't have "purchased" dates, so they're not highlighted in my karaoke list. From the XML dump:

Animal (Live)
Def Leppard

This is now done.

Yes, I'm seeing Tommy Tutone "867-5309/Jenny" twice, as mentioned further above. That's something non_zero's going to have to look at.

Edit: Beaten.

You've already got the option to select 30, 60 or 90 "new" days.

Not quite. You can enter any number you want in there.

My to-do list does include adding an option to include a cover sheet with a list of the latest purchases in reverse chronological order. If you want just that list, then you'd generate a PDF, then print only the first page.

I was wondering why I got an explosion of activity on my site today, and now I see why! Almost 200 karaoke lists have been created today.

I'm glad to find that lots of people like it and find it useful. Be sure to report bugs or make feature requests in the support thread.

Also, I added the Johnny Cash pack on Saturday night, but the "purchased" field for those songs in the XML dump is empty.

non_zero: I'm getting Tommy Tutone "867-5309/Jenny" twice in the XML dump, with two different purchase dates: 4/19 and 4/22. Removing the song from my collection removes it from the dump, re-adding it causes no change in what I get in the dump.

I'm glad other people find this toy useful.

non_zero: Noticed a small error in the database. The artist for "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" is listed as Stevie Nicks & Tom Petty, but the official Rock Band artist is just "Stevie Nicks". It was on her solo album, and he guested.

You guys can now choose your console and game. Thanks to non_zero for the tips.

non_zero's sent me some information that I can use to allow for creating separate lists for Rock Band, for Guitar Hero, and for different consoles. I'll fiddle around with that soon.

Okay. As for the problem I described, could you please provide some input on that?

In addition, if I go to the Export page and change the Game dropdown to "Guitar Hero", the form auto-submits, and when the next page loads, it has reverted back to "Rock Band".

In the URL you provided me for getting the export, if I add "game=5:1", then I get an export with only the RB3 on-disc songs.
