lightsup55 Found in: Getting a 350 note streak on Keys
miniviking10 said:
You need to specify exactly how to do that. I just got over a 400 note streak on Imagine on Keys and turned off the controller and switched to keys but I couldn't keep it on my same Gamertag. So do you mean playing one song on Guitar, then picking a song on Keys or what? Confused.

To those who need it:

You play a song using your standard 5 button guitar controller by selecting the "KEYS" option (unlocked AFTER completing the GUITAR IMMORTAL guitar goal) and do the 350 note streak.

Then switch to your keyboard (either the official MadCatz keyboard controller for Rock Band 3 OR any keyboard with MIDI out and Rock Band 3 Midi PRO-Adapter for Xbox 360) and selecting the "KEYS" option.

In that case, you can do it on a guitar, on almost any song. But after you do it on a guitar, go back and play any song at all on a keyboard, and that'll count.

That is exactly how I got the achievement.

Check out the solutions posted on TrueAchievements.com (including mine).

lightsup55 Found in: How did you get into RB/GH?
In December of 2006 I was at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Best Buy (before opening one closer to me in Baltimore County) to pick up Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas (Xbox 360) that was purchased online and saw Guitar Hero II (Xbox 360 release) out on the floor to play. I picked up the guitar and started playing. I sucked on easy (failed actually), but liked it none the less. Might have been the calibration being off or just me, but whatever it was, I just wanted to play more.

I made repeat visits to Wal-Mart and other places that had the Guitar Hero II demo (Xbox 360 koisk). As I got better at the game, I decided to finally get the game about 4 months later.

Even though I no longer play any Guitar Hero game as much (thanks to Activision for *cough* "SUPPORTING" *cough* the Guitar Hero series), I still play here and there.

Nowadays, I just play Rock Band 3 for many reasons (including the continuing DLC support).

Somebody uploads their whole channel and they have a CoD video in there. That's how.

Maybe I'm not sure how the system works behind closed doors, but shouldn't it filter out unrelated stuff?

Rock Band is a video game
Call of Duty is a video game

Seems like a perfect match to me.

Rock Band has "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival (original version on expert pro guitar):

Call of Duty: Black Ops uses "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival as background music in the single player campaign mission "S.O.G." (skip to the 2:00 mark):

lightsup55 Found in: Videos for song (NOT relevant) - Including Call of Duty?
Although some other songs may have a similar situation (e.g. the videos page for "Silver" by The Pixies including a video of "Melatonin" by Silversun Pickups), but this one particular song is just ridiculous with 500+ videos of other songs.

A YouTube video of a song played in Rock Band is relevant to DLCQP in general (regardless of song title and artist), but how in the world is Call of Duty: Black Ops related to Rock Band?

Case in point: the videos for !I by !I! (Demo/80 MSP)

The ONLY relevant video for "!I" by !I! on expert pro keys was uploaded by YouTube user sandstormsux (submitted to DLCQP by me):

lightsup55 Found in: Weird band name censoring
I know a friend (who goes has a couple of other gamertags) which contains references to drugs. Two of his gamertags are Pass jointZ and smoke me up 2 (jointZ on DLCquickplay.com). His band on his smoke me up 2 gamertag is "cody and the smokes" and it is NOT censored as I can see it on the Xbox LIVE leaderboards for the Xbox 360 release of Rock Band 3.

So "positive" is offensive in some form, but "smokes" is fine? I give up.

For anyone who asks, I DON'T do drugs. Just wanted to post this as it is related.

lightsup55 Found in: "Hangman" RBN song listed twice (on XBL Marketplace)
While this isn't a problem with DLCquickplay.com site, I did notice this issue.

Search Results for "Hangman" on Xbox LIVE Marketplace (Rock Band 3) returns with 4 results (2 trial songs and 2 full songs). The ONLY difference seems to be the release date (by a few days) and file size (less than 1 MB). According to the description, both songs are exactly the same.

The one with release date of 5/2/2011 is the one linked in the YouTube video (and is the one I purchased).

Please contact Microsoft and/or Harmonix about this.

Just what I thought, but I didn't know.

Anyway... what about "All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan (Guitar Hero 5 on-disc) and the cover, which is also titled, "All Along the Watchtower" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience (Rock Band 3 DLC)? Same song (same lyrics, different style), same title, different band/artist.

The Rock Band 3 releases of Rush "2112" (including the 3 separate song parts) are missing the "See Also" lings to the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock on-disc "2112" song parts (7 of them).

Also, the listings for "2112" in all 7 individual parts are also missing the "See Also" for the Rock Band 3 equivalent.

GH: WoR "2112 Pt. 1", "2112 Pt. 2", "2112 Pt. 3", "2112 Pt. 4", "2112 Pt. 5", "2112 Pt. 6", and "2112 Pt. 7"

UltimaThule said:
Because I was bored. I tried to go for an eclectic mix in terms of genre and difficulty, balancing the setlist with easy songs without neglecting the more hardcore fans.
*Where appropriate, songs that could end with Big Rock Endings (Hot for Teacher, Crossroads, Zoot Suit Riot...) instead end with "fills" like in 25 or 6 to 4.
*Final-tier songs (across the band in general) are in italics.
*It's easier to list the songs that don't have keys parts, marked with an X.
*And yeah, yeah, I know, repeats. But not everyone has all the GH games.

Thoughts, comments?

Rush: “2112” (Playable as 3 parts: “Overture/Temples of Syrinx,” “Discovery/Presentation,” “Oracle: The Dream/Soliloquy/Grand Finale," or can all be played in a row like the Abbey Road medley) X

Funny how that was released on December 31, 2011 for Xbox 360 (January 3, 2012 for Wii and PlayStation 3) EXACTLY as you stated.
