Seriously, however you feel about this week as a whole, you have to admit there's no good reason for Something In The Way, Polly, Territorial Pissings and On A Plain to get upgrades. ---

Heart-Shaped Box: Oh, look! A Rock Band 3 version of In Bloom! Though, this will be the major hit.
Rape Me - What a strong statement to perfectionists.
All Apologies - I'm expecting a big rock ending on this song. Dunno why.
You Know You're Right - An Alice in Chains-esque Nirvana song... You know, where's more classic AiC?! That aside, most likely the highest-tier song in the pack, so it's worth looking at.
"Celebrating Nirvana" - ...If you were CELEBRATING this band, you'd get the AWESOME songs in there, too. :/
Songs I wish they had in RB: Love Buzz, Scoff, Swap Meet, Endless Nameless, Milk It, Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through the Strip. ---
QUOTES!
Riles: LEGO ISN'T A COLOR
GODDAMMIT TWA
Saxy Man: But wouldn't all the bronies living on one island be a good thing?

Actually I can justify that reason. Like I said at the way start of the thread, Nevemind is getting a re-release. So because of that, they are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the album by giving all the songs upgrade. Polly is actually a good song acoustically to warrant it. Territorial Pissings is a personal favorite of mine and it's a good quick chord strumming song. Something In the Way is a decent acoustic song and On A Plain is full of chords too. I say it's a win-win for PRO guitarists. I talked to a lot of Pro guitarists about next week, they say they are really happy the album is getting an upgrade. ---

I think they'd rather any other album. How about either Hendrix one for memorable riffs and cool solos, Moving Pictures for light techical stuff, either Megadeth one for balls-out difficulty, or Ten for the best of everything, especially since that is also having a 20th anniversary? The pure boredom of the deep cuts on here does not justify picks beyond Breed, Teen Spirit and the two live tracks.
Also? This isn't even the full album. Two of them were disc tracks, so we'll never see pro upgrades to those, kind of destroying the "full album" angle they were clearly going for here. ---

First of all I don't think anyone was complaining Def that Leppard got all Pro upgrades, I think rather they were complaining Def Leppard was the first band since Queen to get all Pro upgrades. If they do big batches of Pro upgrades more often I'm sure as shit not going to complain, why the hell would I?
Okay, so it's the first 'album' to get all Pro, it doesn't mean it's the only one, in fact doesn't that mean it sets precedent for it happening more in the future? Screaming for Vengeance was the first album in the game, but I think people are far happier with stuff that came out after the release format was paved, stuff like the albums you mentioned.
For another thing, these songs probably have some of the highest effort-to-profit ratios, the songs aren't terribly complex (especially Polly and Something in the Way) but they'll sell well partially because of that and partially because Nirvana made them. Tell me, would you get busy charting Five Magics knowing Smells Like Teen Spirit was sitting right there (not to mention about to be released in a rival game!)?
Honestly as a Pro guitarist I'm just happy for the instrument to get a noticeable amount of love. I'm hoping this paves way for large batches in the future, sure, but even out of this group I suspect I'll get the majority.

There are three bands that immediately come to mind when I think of bands that need pro upgrades: Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. So far I've been satisfied with all three and this next week is going to be excellent and may get me to really work on the guitar in hopes that I can voxtar them one day. Personally I wish they would release an easier SRV chart, though
Also, my most wished for pro upgrade was Inside Out because I REALLY wanted to pro voxtar that nonsense (because that song is right basically there in my vocal range, and I got it. It was glorious. Up next, QotSA upgrades please

Eh...QOTSA...I think we'd have to get some new songs at the same time. What's there right now is not incredibly exciting. ---

Well they're my favorite band of all times of all the times so I would sure hope their discography got pro upgrades. I've been clamoring for Songs for the Deaf full album since 2008 and I thought we were getting close with No One Knows on disc

I'll also (try to) quickly mention that difficulty doesn't sell Pro upgrades on its own, apparently most people who invested actually don't have much experience with guitar. I three-starred Llama on Expert last month, putting me, out of 2,500 players, at number 50. For three-starring on Expert, which might means it's even beatable by five-starring Hard, I don't know, too lazy to look.
In a similar vein, Stash, despite being one of the most fun Pro upgrades, is one of the worst selling (less than a hundred scores on Xbox LIVE!): It's hard, sure, but apparently most people aren't looking for hard stuff, they're trying to learn here. As a counterpoint Through the Fire and Flames is sold reasonably well, but that has to do with infamy more than it being difficult.

Can I ask how well We Belong went? That's meant to be one of the most boring. ---

According to Keldon, 579 Xbox LIVE scores on Pro Guitar which is sorta moderate (lowest being Super Bad with 78 and highest non-free being More Than a Feeling with 1,529).

If you listened to Nirvana, you would get it. It's a mishmashed lyric to All Apologies. ---
