IGN was the only major blog I saw give it a bad score. Personally, I liked what I played, but I think it's too pricey.

It's pretty finicky for me so far. The controls don't respond the way I want them to and the game gives you a pretty hard time of telling you where you should actually go. The confrontations with people are a little less than I had hoped for as well - the people who are hostile and the ones that don't want to kill you and just want you to leave them alone are telegraphed pretty easily, so the only challenging part about the game is trying to figure out which paths DON'T lead to a dead end

I'll most likely pick it up when on sale. 1200 is only worth paying for on some games, such as Castle Crashers. Besides, Xbox typically makes their "event" games on sale fast. Look at Summer of Arcade, a lot of those titles were on sale multiple times.

Oh yeah, it'll definitely go on sale at some point, which is why I have no problem waiting.

Im liking the game, its a bit.. "slow" I should say. but when you are used to oodles of stempacks and bounties of ammo at your disposal, it takes some time getting used to this whole "Bullets and health are rare" crap -.-

Sometimes I just lie down with my Marcus body pillow and everything feels safe again

I played the demo, I was moderately impressed. I thought it was like an Xbox version of Uncharted, what with the climbing and all.

A couple problems:
1. The walking is REALLY slow and the fact that the running absorbs stamina is troublesome, but I suppose it's not so bad since you gain it back almost instantly
2. The muted color scheme got kind of boring.

I do like the AI however, I liked having control over my opponents even though my gun was empty. I wonder how The Last of Us will use that in their game.

On the note of stamina... I hate when your in thick dust your stamina goes down.. ALLOT!

How do you get to the hanging train coach in the tunnel? I've got as far as swinging around below it to pick up a few items after getting a bullet and then he looks up to it. Where do I go from here?

You climb the wall next to you. Be warned: it's hard.

It wasn't next to me but I found it eventually, and I didn't find anything difficult about getting to the train

All done.

All told, I Am Alive came close, but didn't quite live up to many years of hype. There are parts where everything comes together and creates a perfect atmosphere, but a lot of the time it's undermined by technical issues and the silly combat.
