My first playthrough I was male shepard so I didnt kill her because I wanted to sleep with her and my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs are with female shepards so shes dead.

I didn't have sex with anybody when I played as female Shepard because the thought of boning Kaiden made me uncomfortable

Plus FemShep is clearly an empowered women and would never succumb to being ruled by a man

(I haven't played ME2 with her yet but I may cause her to fall in love then, or ME3 if such a situation arrives)

Also I'm not looking forward to the love triangle I'll have between Liara and Miranda. That's gonna suck

I only had romance in ME1 once, for the sake of the achievement. ME2 had more interesting characters to work with, even more now that I finally got to work on my first male Sheppard in ME1.

I'm terrible at making a good looking male evidently, so I made him black and severe bar feature seemed to go away, quite funny. Hey you guys, we should totally upload pictures of our Sheppards. Because it will be somewhat interesting and whatnot.

Unfortunately, my goth lady Shepard is on a different console with a different Gamertag, and I'm not playing through the first game again. I might replay the second, though, considering it's *ahem* a shit ton better.

You might be the only one I ever met to think that. Granted I like both equally, but a lot of people like he first better. Not sure why really, something about he second being more like a shooter.

It's not really that the second one is better, more like the first is far less fun.

I'll admit heartily that Mass Effect 2 lacks craft like the first one has. But I don't give a shit because, shocker, it's more fun, which is the entire point of games last time I remember.

Which is why people associate more fun with "better". Or so I thought, made sense to me.

What people are you associating with? Ive only met one person who things Mass Effect 1 is better than 2.

Also all women in the Mass Effect Universe have eternal duck faces and its annoying.

Mass Effect approved a lot on 1 but felt more like a shooter than an RPG and chopped somethings as well. Stat building for one as well as the shop system.

"Too lazy to make an appropriate opinion" Which in their defense, it's probably true. I talk to a lot of RPG fanatic (not JRPG) and they thought ME2 cut out some of the RPG elements that ME1 had.

At least ME2 doesn't have the damn Mako.

Very true. The shop system I feel was kind of redeemed with the research upgrades, even if mineral gathering was a giant pain, but levelling up is a stopgap and isn't a milestone the way it used to be. And from the looks of things, it ain't coming back.

Overlord isn't as boring as I remember it being, but it might have been the Mastodon messing with me.

Also also, I much preferred the getting random loot to upgrade guns on the fly than having to spend time going to stores and mining shit to upgrade.

Make was the only thing I disliked about ME1. Was really annoying trying to drive over mountains.

Overload was the one with the Autistic fellow controlling everything, right? I liked it, especially the computer world bit.

Actually, me too. That was pretty good.

But replaying ME2 really puts in to perspective how slow as molasses ME1 was. Sniper rifles? Don't have to wait half the game to have any accuracy with them. Powers? Don't take 3 minutes to recharge. Overheating? Gone, replaced with a far more beneficial clip system. Hubs that are too big? Nope, they're small and just right for what the game is trying to accomplish.

Again, ME2 lacks craft, and really is quite hamstrung on stats and general RPGness, but I'll take that over the mind-numbingly slow, vapid experience that was Mass Effect The Beginning.

By the way, how is the ME2 DLC IYO? I bought the Shadow Broker one a while back and found the sex to be too tame, and I immediately wanted my money back, but the rest of it was alright.

I actually preferred the recharging weapons over ammo, made the game have a bit more strategy to it. I think in terms of power regeneration, I like ME3 the most as they said that the recharge times depend on how many weapons you were carrying at once. Wish all powers had individual cool downs, as it forces variety instead of just being able to shield drain the Geth until they were dead. I also liked the bigger hubs, as it made the universe feel more alive and each planet wasn't just a few rooms with a couple of people. I can understand why people like the second, and I do too, it just feels like a TV show where they jam in a lot of special effects.
