There was a time when I used to play this song on bass more than guitar, and playing it again made me realize why: It's a pretty fun bass.
The intro is similar to guitar, which a bit of a difference (outside of not being chords) of throwing in a red instead of green every now and then.
The verse rhythm is pretty cool (nonstandard strum rhythm, some fair movement, some HO/POs), but ultimately loses its edge pretty quickly.
The chorus, however, is a blast, and definitely more fun than the guitar part. It's got various little scales in it, and the perfect amount of movement and HO/POs to me. No question about this part of the song being enjoyable.
There's also a bridge rhythm, which is somewhere between the two in all aspects. Ultimately, it's a pretty great bass part, but the verse might be a bit too uninteresting by the end for some people.
