Extremely fast, repetitive and tedious song to play. It's a computer generated synth line that clearly wasn't meant for a live performance.

Repetitive and Dull Gigakoops
The main draw of these songs are not guitar, obviously, so of course when something like this happens, it's gonna be a bit dull. There's very little variation for the first minute or so, then the chorus gets repetitive fast. Then the rest of the song is essentially more of the same.

It's boring, but not all too inaccurate, so it gets a two rather than a one.

Meanwhile your bassist probably broke the guitar you lent him out of frustration. But that's a story for a different review ;)

I hope you like the green fret, because you'll be playing a lot of it. This song has a lot of slow alt strumming with very little variation. It would be a 1-star song, if not for the fact that the ending choruses are actually quite a bit of fun. Unfortunately, you have to slog through the rest of the song to get there. Nothing ambitious here.

2/5 ordealbyfire
Like I've found many 30 Seconds to Mars songs to be on guitar, "Closer to the Edge" is lacking - probably more than the others I've played. It's just essentially a slow strum-fest, with little going on. I like the band, but for the most part, if you're not a drummer, 30 Seconds to Mars isn't a great band to play along to on Rock Band - although I hear bass is good on this song.

Pretty Funkward Dead Player
Basically, it is the main riff of Panic Attack played at a even faster speed for 3-4 minutes, not alot else to say. But I would like to point out that when you finaly get down the rythm it do get slightly entertaining even if it is akward as hell.

A weak 3 stars from me.

who says bass is easy? Bim
Was slightly dis-appointed with the guitar on this, wasn't really bad just very simple and steady only fun part is the fast triple strum notes after a break in the middle of the song,

But then i suddenly got a huge shock when someone else picked guitar for a set and saw how crazy the bass is - the best way i can describe it is it's quite similar to the panic attack intro except this one is much faster and has a green hammer-on just before each green strum note and the upper note to flick onto is always the same. it stays pretty much the same all the way through the song only moving up onto the red fret and the yellow fret then back onto the green fret every ~10 seconds

a very hard bass song to get a good score and easy to fail if you cant quite pick up the rythm or your hand dies!

definately one id pick when its my turn on bass (and everyone has it!)
