This is probably the second best Otis Redding song, in my opinion.
To describe the chart in about one sentence: It is a 16th roll on the red pad while occasionally hitting the yellow pad.
So now you are probably thinking, "So why did you give it 3 stars? Do you just hate Otis Redding, you... you terrorist?! That sounds fun!"
First of all, no, I don't hate Otis Redding. I have a dozen or so of his songs on my old computer. I like soul, funk and blues. I also love 16th rolls on the red pad!
The problem with this song comes from its speed. The roll is really slow and too "dumbed down" to be that fun. The roll still provides some enjoyment, but not too much. The chart definitely shows that the drummer is supposed to be keeping the rhythm in the song. Never once do you feel that great playing the roll. Therefore, it is only a decent roll.
If you are new to expert, I'd definitely recommend the song because of the roll's speed. It can probably help you get better at 16th rolls.
