Iconic, But Not A Sale To Everyone Karmeleaux
To me, this is one of the most iconic basslines of the nineties. In fact, I had to show a friend a video of this as they didn't believe it was done on bass (a 12-string bass, no less!).

However, while it is rather enjoyable, it doesn't translate to the best experience. The iconic rhythm has a few variations, but it's still used enough to get old.

The next most notable rhythm is largely triple-note(!) chords, which adds variety but isn't particularly outstanding to play. And the chorus is built around sustains moving around the fretboard, and finally the outro is built around variations on eighth note runs.

I feel like I'm kinda selling the song short here. It's got a lot of fun stuff in it: the iconic rhythm, the bass chords, and some of the variations in the outro. But I think this has some flaws in it (and where are the scales!?), and I'm making them known. Still, by no means a bad bass part, I can still see a lot of people unfamiliar with the song digging it.
