I don't really care for this cover, but I'd say it's a strong bass song for the unbiased consumer.
The verse rhythm is built around straight eighths switching frets in a predictable manner, but almost every change is preceded by various fun small HO/PO couples.
The chorus is built slowly scales back to green, but it's got a great scale at the end, and as the song progresses the rhythm get more complicated and has some simply amazing bass fills in there.
So it's probably clear why this got this rating: The verse (and bridge, which is very similar) get slightly repetitive, none of the rhythms really pack a punch that makes them stand out on their own, but there are some great HO/PO movements littered throughout to engage a good amount of bassists.
