I should not FC an A7X song! Dr Sardonicus
Avenged Sevenfold songs are fairly often near the top in songs that are just great to play. Bat Country and Beast and the Harlot in particular are fantastic. So I was looking forward to an A7X song in Blitz... until it turned out to be a ballad. Let's take a look, shall we?

For the first half, there's not much. You start off with acoustic chords, though some are hard to hit due to the charting, where it goes Y-R-GY, and you have to move fast to hit it. The chords are decent to play, but nothing special, though near the end, they switch up more. Then you get to the chorus, where you play sustains and slow hammer-ons. It's pretty boring.

After this, it repeats the verse and chorus, followed by a bridge with more sustains, until you hit a solo! Now this is where it gets intense, right? I mean, it's an A7X song! They're known for their solos! Well not here. Just like the chorus and bridge, it's sustain lane here, mixed with hammer-ons. It works for the song, but it's not all that great to play. After that is the chorus, and you hit an ending sustain...

That goes into the second half of the song. And you hit the best part. You get chords everywhere, mixed with hammer-ons in between. This part is great to play, and is easily the highlight. After that bit of glory you hit... sustains. How surprising. Well for the last 1 1/2 minute, you play sustains, until the song ends.

Overall, the song was pretty bland as far as A7X songs go. It might be pretty, but it doesn't translate into a game all that well outside of vocals. Sure, there are some great parts, but this hits right near the middle in chart quality. Play it once, then skip it.
