I am back to my reviewing! School is coming around, and that means I will be sitting around typing reviews in it. Which means, I should start early to get my groove back. The first song on my return is a review of the fresh out of oven song "Sugar, We're Going Down" by "Fall Out Boy". Alright, I know Fall Out Boy isn't in the taste for most metal heads, but I love Fall Out Boy. This new song is probably my favorite song to sing out of the pack.
To start out, my review, I will say this is probably one of the easier vocalist songs out there. It isn't too hard, and it's not too easy. It's just perfect for any novice or someone who would be moving from Hard to Expert. Outside of the chorus, there are a few phrases that go up and down, but not too much, which you won't have to change you're pitch too much.
When the song gets into the chorus, that is when the song gets exciting and fun. The vocalist keeps on singing without stopping, but not the kind where you are barely giving any breathing space. The chorus is easy to memorize and is easy to sing and dance to. For the most part, every time the chorus pumps into the song, it's the same pitch and lyrics.
Towards the end of the song is when the vocalist is slowing down and gets quite a few break sections in between phrases. Afterwards, you go into the chorus one last time, it's the same as the other choruses.
All in all, the song is a great song that is fun on vocals and any other instrument. It's easy for starters or it's a good song for those trying to move their way up to Expert. It's a definite pick up and I would recommend the whole pack for any vocalist or drummer. It's fun for the whole band! "Sugar We're Going Down" gets a 5 star for it's openness towards those who can't plat Expert and being a fun song to sing all around.
