Unlikely to "Stroke" any bassists ego! Poinkish
Much like the Guitar chart, the bassline for "The Stroke" is pretty uneventful for the most part, plodding along with mostly gap filled blue note strumming, some breif sustains toward the higher half of the fretboard, and a slightly interesting riff that has you playing a brief hammer-on snake followed by a short burst of alt-strummed single notes. Sadly the interesting parts are marred by repetition and don't come often enough to drive off the monotony.

I have a hard time recommending this to dedicated bassists. Another "Buy It If You Like it" song.

Bore me, bore me! Poinkish
So, "The Stroke" doesn't start off too well with a sizable gap during the first minute of the songs running time, and when the keys finally kick in, it mainly consists of pretty underwhelming sustains, a couple of red key taps, and a slightly interesting key snake towards the lower end of the Keyboard. This repeats throughout with a ton of downtime, and long gaps.

Not recommended really. A good song for nostalgia and it's kickin' groove though!

May send Guitarists into a stroke! Poinkish
The song itself is great, but has a pretty boring Guitar chart. It's an iconic song but in terms of stuff to do in Guitar, there's not much variety. For the most part you'll be playing shorts bursts of chords with some chord hammer-ons thrown in, followed by some gaps with some chord sustains and shorts bursts of 1-2 chords thrown in. It pretty much continues like this throughout the running time of the song, and to be honest, it gets a bit dull towards the end of the song. Much like "Everybody Wants You", for Guitarists, this is yet another "buy it if you like the song" piece of DLC.
