Another Hit for Maiden Dr Sardonicus
Maiden songs have a consistently strong track record of being some of the best guitar songs in the game. And since I actually really like Maiden's new stuff, I was looking forward to this, even if I expected Wrathchild. How's it stand up? Fantastically.

You start out with a trademark Maiden riff, consisting of red notes leading up to a RB chord, which then moves to a GY and YO chord. This part was pretty fun for me, with enough hand movement and strumming to keep you entertained. You play this riff until the bridge, where you play a mix of chords, with enough movement to keep it interesting. This is followed by a chorus riff, which consists of alt-strumming between yellow and blue, until you move over to red, with every 4th repetition having a yellow replaced with orange. It's frustrating the first time you play it, but you get the hang of it eventually.

You play these three once more in order, before reaching the bridge, where you play notes going up the fretboard. I feel that this section would be improved with ho/pos, but I can see why they didn't. After this is a Maiden Solo™, filled with fat ho/pos runs up and down, plus some great melodic sections. It's extremely fun, but extremely difficult. Not impossible level difficult, but definitely nightmare level. Afterwards, you play the bridge and chorus again, followed by an ending pattern of slower chords. It's not all that fun, but it's a great way to end the song.

Overall, the song is fantastic on guitar. Not only one of the best in Blitz, it's one of the best in the last few months. A definite play.
